Living room furniture

We all have a story to tell

Your living room is where you share the story of who you are. So our living room furniture helps you do that – with lots of ways to show off the things you’ve done and the places you’ve been. And plenty of comfortable seating – because sharing it all with your favourite people is the best part.

Hem Berlin

Online furniture brand Hem has opened its first physical shop, occupying the ground floor of the company's headquarters on Berlin's Friedrichstrasse.

Hem, which was set up by co-founders of online design retailer Fab.com and Scandinavian design brand One Nordic last year, opened its Berlin store on Saturday.

The shop includes displays of Hem's own customisable storage ranges and its latest homewares alongside pieces inherited from One Nordic and its recent purchase of 200 products from Italian design brand Discipline.

Customers will be able to browse the full Hem catalogue via tablets and laptops placed around the store and carried by staff, as well as create customised designs online.

Beautiful ideas for bedrooms

Restful charm

We drove the neighbours mad,' says Jos White, talking about the three-year renovation of the family's town house on one of the most desirable streets in Manhattan's West Village. After  extending, gutting and completely renovating their six-storey town house to create open-plan interiors tailored for family living. The house is an enchanting mix of inimate and open plan - the bedroom is no exception. It has a neutral palette accented by a nineteenth-century trunk from Hilary Batstone reupholstered in pink.
